The Peak: literally a top attraction
If you only have time to visit one Hong Kong attraction, go to The Peak. And if you have a lot of time, then still visit The Peak. Seven million visitors a year find their way to the top of this mountain. The view from here is breathtaking. There is also a gigantic shopping mall that will make the heart of every shopaholic skip a beat.
Peak Tram Historical Gallery
A visit to The Peak begins with a ride on the historic Peak Tram. At the bottom of the tram route you will find the Peak Tram Historical Gallery where visitors are taken back to the 19th century. Visit a replica of the very first Peak Tram and see a reconstruction of the cable space from where the trams were hoisted up and down. The iconic tram is a witness of more than 124 years of change in the city.
Hike to the top via the Hong Kong Trail
A hike is the best way to explore The Peak and make the most of the great views. There are 3 different routes and the Hong Kong trail is the longest. After 45 minutes, hikers are rewarded with fantastic views over Hong Kong, Victoria Harbour, Kowloon and the surrounding islands in the South China Sea.
Trendy shopping at great heights
The iconic Peak Tower graces many a postcard and is a symbol of modern architecture. The tower houses dozens of shops and restaurants. This mall literally elevates shopping to new heights. Here you will find everything from the hippest fashion chains to more traditional Chinese shops. Rest your legs on the Sky Terrace and enjoy the great view.
